Find a Used Car Online
It’s fun and easy to find a used car online, if you know where
to look. Whether you want to buy a used car from a dealer, a
private seller, or an online auction, there are many excellent
websites that list all types of used cars for sale.
It is free to look for used cars online, and you
will find hundreds of thousands of used cars and trucks to
choose from at any given time. The type of used car finder
service that you use largely depends on how well you like the
website and how many cars are listed that match your search
criteria.
There are a several different types of online
“used car finder” websites that will help you search for and buy
a used car. These range from large companies that maintain huge
databases of new and used car listings to online auto
classifieds as well as car manufacturer sites that will point
you toward local dealerships so you can view their current used
car inventories. Many online car pricing and research websites
will also provide links to dealers who carry the exact make and
model used car you are looking for. There are also several
online auction sites (like EBay Motors) that have a wide
selection of used cars.
The best place to start looking for a used car
is on a big automotive website that lists advertisements for
used cars all over the country. If you know the exact make,
model and year you want, you can comparison shop for your used
car on a nationwide basis or narrow your search to your local
area. When you use one of these large databases to find a used
car, you’ll usually get hundreds of results, which provides you
with some great price-comparison information.
Find a Used Car on “Used Car Finder Websites”
Yahoo! Autos – Here you will find resources to find a used
car as well as new cars. You can search for and find a used car
on a nationwide basis, or just look locally. Yahoo! Autos also
has a lot of additional resources that will help you find what
the true value of a used car is and also help you determine what
price you can get for your current car (Kelly Blue Book).
Nothing But Cars - This is a great (and simple)
website for buying and selling used cars. Nothing But Cars
specializes in cars for sale by private owner. Unlike a lot of
used car classifieds websites, this one isn't all
cluttered up with ads and junk. If you're looking for a used
car, just enter your zip code. You will then be taken to another
page where you can enter specific search criteria regarding
make, model and year. Nothing But Cars doesn't have a huge
database of cars for sale, but there are definitely some "gems"
here!!
Autos.com – This is a great website for finding quick

for, as well as the maximum price you are willing to pay and
your zip code. Tell cars.com how many miles from your zip code
you are willing to travel to buy your used car, and see what

Find a Used Car at Online Auctions
EBay is the largest and most well known auction site in the
world. Because so many cars are bought and sold on Ebay, they
have created a special site just to handle cars and automotive
products.
EBay Motors is the place to look if you want to find a used
car for sale by private owner or dealer. Many dealers advertise
used cars for sale on EBay Motors, and you can search the whole
world for the specific car you want.
Liquidation.com is another online auction site that
specializes in bulk lots of products, but has recently added a
Vehicles section. A lot of used cars that are sold on this
website are police salvage and confiscated cars that may be in
need of repair. Inventory changes daily, so you’ll have to keep
checking back – but if you want a really cheap used car, you
just might find it on Liquidation.com.
Checking New Car Dealer Inventory
Many people like to find a used car at local “new car”
dealerships. This is a good way to find a late model used car or
a “certified” used car. The best way to find car dealers near
you is to use Google to search for the brand you are looking for
and the city. If I were looking for a used Chevrolet in Denver
Colorado, I would enter “Denver CO Chevrolet Dealers” into the
Google search box.
Another way to find local new car dealer
websites in order to search their inventory of used cars is to
go to the manufacturers website and find a link that lets you
“find a local dealer”. Follow this link and you should then be
able to browse the local dealers used car inventory online. For
your convenience, here is a page that lists all major
new car manufacturers’ websites.
